About Rilum Foundation
Founded in 2001, Rilum Foundation has been working tirelessly to empower rural communities in Meghalaya through various initiatives. Our journey began with the R.S. Lyngdoh Training Centre, a vocational skills development program for school drop-outs and the disabled. Over the years, we have expanded our reach to include community development projects, rights-based advocacy, and livelihood promotion.
As a grassroots organization committed to sustainable development, we work closely with village councils, government departments, and knowledge partners to implement effective programs that address the needs of rural communities.
Key Areas of Focus:
- Community Empowerment
- Rural Livelihoods
- Women's Empowerment
- Youth Development
- Social Justice
- Environmental Sustainability
Our impact includes the formation of numerous Self-Help Groups (SHGs), promotion of rural enterprises, increased awareness of rights and entitlements, and improved livelihoods for vulnerable communities.
